policies

✧ if my books are open (the status of my books can be found on instagram) please feel free to send me a tattoo submission. if your submission is chosen, you will receive an email from me within a few days. please always be sure to check both your email’s inbox as well as your spam folder.

✧ while i do prioritize flash when booking, i am open to custom work. keep in mind i like to stick to my style; small, illustrative tattoos with thinner linework, a ton of sparkles.

~i do not tattoo with color, other than the occasional bit of pink

✧ when sending in a submission for a custom tattoo from me, please be as descriptive as possible in your booking form, and send a separate email including references (if you have any) to tattoosbyemmaday@gmail.com .

~ after booking, you may email me within a few days of our scheduled appointment to see the design. minor alterations can be made to your liking, however please keep in mind if many alterations are needed, i may not be the right artist for the project you had in mind. no alterations will be made during the appointment, so if anything is to be changed, please reach out beforehand.

✧ my minimum is $200 usd, and a non-refundable deposit is required to schedule a tattoo appointment. prices will vary depending on size, location, detail, etc.

✧ deposits are $50 for flash pieces, and $100 for custom pieces. they contribute to the overall cost of your tattoo. please have your deposit ready as you fill out your submission form to make the booking process as swift and easy as possible. i accept cashapp, venmo, and paypal. deposits are non refundable under any circumstances other than me having to cancel the appointment for any personal reasons.

✧ i do ask clients to wear masks at the time of our appointment for both of our safety and health, regardless of illinois mandates.

✧ if you need a touch up on a tattoo from me, you must fill out a booking form including healed photos of your tattoo currently. i do still require a $50 deposit, to cover the cost of supplies during your session. you will not need to bring any other money at the time of your appointment. if you no call no show for a touch up appointment the tattoo is no longer my responsibility.

✧ if you have to reschedule your appointment, send me an email to do so within 48 hours before your appointment or your deposit will be considered invalid. if you choose to reschedule still, you’ll have to send another deposit. to reschedule with your valid deposit, you must wait till my books reopen. then, you can resubmit a form stating you have a valid deposit from a previous appointment that you couldn’t make it to. if you no call no show, your deposit will be invalid and we will be unable to book again as i wouldnt want to risk it happening again.

✧ if you are 15+ minutes late to your appointment your appointment will have to be cancelled and your deposit will not be valid. i would never want to run into someone elses tattoo time, or rush yours. if you know you are going to be running late, please let me know ahead of time via email.

✧ if you’d like to change the design or placement of your tattoo after booking, please email me atleast 48 hrs before your appointment to give me a heads up, and so i can give you a new price quote.
